One Million!

They said it couldn’t be done, but we did it.

With more than one million signatures on petitions to recall Scott Walker, Wisconsinites sent a message to the nation and the world that Walker’s Tea Party ways are not our ways.

The Tosa recall office processed 4,794 signatures to recall Gov. Walker, and 4,466 for Lt. Gov. Kleefisch.  That’s how many were brought in by volunteers, checked over, and then turned in to the Democratic recall office in West Allis.

“Walker might have the money but there’s no doubt that we have the boots on the ground.  What a tremendous grassroots effort across the state,” said Joanne Shansky, who coordinated the Tosa recall office.

With the recall election months off, it’s time to turn our attention to the local races. More on that soon.

Thanks for all your hard work on the recall!
